Preparation for birth, sessions for couples and women with a midwife
The MaM center offers courses, à la carte, for pregnant women as part of the preparation for birth, and for couples to both prepare them to be parents and organize their return home with their child in the best conditions.
From the 4th month of pregnancy, expectant mothers can sign up to participate alone or accompanied by a person of their choice in courses that interest them. All courses are taught by specialized midwives
All courses are held at the MaM center except that of pool preparation for birth, taking place elsewhere. It is essential to ensure registering for classes that match the stage of pregnancy. Indications are given for each course.

My pregnancy (between the 5th and 7th month of pregnancy)
What are the little aches and changes experienced by pregnant women? During this course, the midwife explains the changes that await women during pregnancy. Advice is also given regarding the lifestyle it is recommended to follow during this period including food, sleep, etc. These recommendations may help prevent prematurity.

Pregnancy in motion (from the 6th month of pregnancy, between 26 and 31 weeks of pregnancy)
Duration: 1:30
This course, which takes place without partners, aims to raise awareness among future mothers of the capabilities of their bodies through physical and postural exercises focused on breathing, the perineum, the pelvis, etc.
90 minutes of relaxation with other women during which advice is provided to manage pain associated with pregnancy (nausea, back pain, etc.). For your comfort, choose a large outfit and get yourself a sort of loin cloth to put on the gym mats which will be provided.

Childbirth (from the 7th month of pregnancy, between 32 and 39 weeks of pregnancy)
Duration: 3 hours
This course focuses on the discovery of the usual delivery processes in an approach that is both theoretical and practical.
The first signs of labor, emergency consultation motives, departure towards Motherhood, contractions, cervical dilation, ways to relieve pain, birth; many topics are dealt with so that future moms are projected at best. Can be accompanied by the person of their choice.

After birth, a new life begins (from the 8th month of pregnancy, between 35 and 39 weeks of pregnancy)
Duration: 1:30
In addition to information on the first days at the Maternity, the course aims to prepare expectant mothers and their partners in their new role as parents in anticipation of returning home. Contraception and rehabilitation of the perineum are also addressed.

Discovering the future baby (from the 7th month of pregnancy, between 34 and 39 weeks of pregnancy)
Duration: 1:30
This course prepares parents to understand their future baby, its "language", its "capacity" and its emotional well-being to enable them to develop, since day one, a harmonious relationship with it.

Preparing to breastfeed (from the 7th month of pregnancy, between 34 and 39 weeks of pregnancy)
Duration: 1:30
Inform, exchange and advise mothers on breastfeeding. Including discussions led by a lactation specialist midwife: the hallmarks of optimal breastfeeding positions, techniques for latching, use of a breast pump, preparing bottles, milk storage etc.

Information about epidurals (from the 7th month of pregnancy, between 30 and 39 weeks of pregnancy)
Duration: 1 hour
Information hour, in group, on epidural anesthesia during labor.

Overall course or "last minute!" (From the 8th month of pregnancy, between 35 and 39 weeks of pregnancy)
Duration: 4h
This course, lasting four hours, includes all the previous courses and is adressed to mothers or couples that could not follow them.

Aquatic preparation (from the 4th month of pregnancy, between 16 and 39 weeks of pregnancy)
Duration: 45 minutes (per session)
In water at 34 °C, moms discover movements that facilitate their delivery, acquire the proper breath control and, especially, benefit from relaxation that leads to awaiting the event in all serenity. The water activity contributes to the well-being during pregnancy, relieves the joints, back, etc.
It is not necessary to know how to swim to participate and the course is without partners.
